How to Request Account Deletion
To delete your Clapback account and remove your data, please follow these steps:

1. Contact Support: Send an email to support@clapbackapp.online with the subject line "Account Deletion Request"

2. Include Required Information: In your email, please provide:
• Your email address associated with your Clapback account
• Your full name
• Confirmation that you want to permanently delete your account
• Any specific data you'd like to review before deletion (optional)

3. Verification Process: We will verify your identity and confirm your request within 48 hours

4. Account Deletion: Once verified, your account and associated data will be permanently deleted within 30 days

What Data is Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:

• Account Information: Email address, user profile, and authentication data
• Usage Data: App usage statistics, feature interactions, and preferences
• User Content: Screenshots you've uploaded, extracted text, and generated clapbacks
• Subscription Data: Payment history and subscription preferences
• Device Information: Device identifiers and browser information
• User Metadata: All additional data stored in your user metadata object

Data Retention Period
• Immediate Deletion: Most user data is deleted immediately upon account deletion
• 30-Day Retention: Some data may be retained for up to 30 days for security and fraud prevention purposes
• Legal Requirements: Certain data may be retained longer if required by law or for legitimate business purposes
• Backup Systems: Data in backup systems may be retained for up to 90 days before permanent deletion

Partial Data Deletion
You can also request deletion of specific data without deleting your entire account:

• Content Deletion: Request removal of specific screenshots or generated clapbacks
• Usage Data: Request deletion of usage statistics and analytics data
• Profile Information: Request removal of specific profile data

To request partial data deletion, email support@clapbackapp.online with "Partial Data Deletion Request" in the subject line and specify which data you'd like removed.

Third-Party Data
Please note that some data may be processed by third-party services:

• OpenAI GPT4o: AI processing data is subject to OpenAI's data retention policies
• Jina AI: OCR processing data is subject to Jina AI's data retention policies
• Payment Processors: Apple and Google payment data is subject to their respective policies
• Supabase: Authentication and user metadata is stored on Supabase servers

Important Considerations
• Permanent Action: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
• Subscription Cancellation: Deleting your account will also cancel any active subscriptions
• Data Recovery: Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered
• Legal Obligations: We may retain certain data if required by law or for legitimate business purposes
